Leinster Rugby Skills Clinic at Georgetown Preparatory School

Join us this summer for an exciting three-day School of Excellence Rugby Camp or one-day Pee Wee Rugby Camp hosted at Georgetown Prep, MD, in partnership with Leinster Rugby and Syracuse University — bringing together world-class rugby expertise and collegiate collaboration.

Whether your child is new to the game or already developing their rugby skills, this camp is designed to cater to all levels. Under the expert guidance of Leinster Rugby coaches, players will:

  • Learn and refine fundamental rugby skills
  • Grow in confidence through teamwork and fun challenges
  • Enjoy a high-energy, inclusive environment

School of Excellence Rugby Camp

  • Ages: Open to boys and girls aged 13 to 17
  • Cost: $325
  • All participants will receive a rugby ball and a camp t-shirt!
Pee Wee Rugby Camp
 
  • Date: Thursday, August 7, 2025
  • Time: 9:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m
  • Location: Georgetown Prep, MD
  • Ages: Open to boys and girls aged 5 to 12
  • Cost: $125
  • All participants will receive a rugby ball and a camp t-shirt!

Leinster Rugby is a world-leading professional rugby organization located in Dublin, Ireland, with an unrivaled track record in developing rugby talent. Leinster’s rugby athletes currently represent over 70% percent of the Irish Rugby national team, currently ranked number one by World Rugby. The Rugby Skills Clinic aims to develop smart and skillful rugby players and inspire the mindset and training habits that will help them achieve their full potential. Leinster is now offering its highly successful camp at Georgetown Prep.

Coaches

Colin O’Hare
Colin, the Leinster-appointed Rugby manager to Syracuse University, is a highly experienced professional with profound sporting acumen. Since 1998, Colin has been deeply involved with Leinster Rugby, witnessing and contributing to the growth of the game from the ground up. His expertise spans coach and player development, strategic change management, and strategic planning. An energetic and innovative leader, Colin possesses excellent communication skills and is results-driven, consistently committed to maintaining high standards of performance.

In his role with Leinster Rugby, Colin has played a pivotal part in coaching players and developing coaches along the Leinster Rugby pathway. Additionally, he has coached Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) teams at club and national level in Ireland, showcasing his versatile coaching capabilities across different sports. Colin also holds a Master's in Sports management.

Niall Kane
Niall has worked with Leinster Rugby for 14 years, starting as a CCRO before becoming Women’s Development Officer in 2018. He is an IRFU-accredited High Performance Coach with experience across age-grade and senior levels.As forwards coach for the Leinster U18 Girls (2018–2022), his teams won two consecutive Interpro titles. He then coached the Leinster Senior Women (2022–2024), achieving back-to-back Interpro titles—an historic first.

Niall also leads the Midlands Girls Development Squad, winners of the Sarah Robinson competition this season, and has been the forwards coach at Newbridge College since 2019, winning the Senior Cup Plate in 2025.

Johnathan Sharkey
Johnathan has been coaching for nearly 20 years and has worked with Leinster Rugby for 8 years. He is an IRFU Stage 4 coach with a focus on breakdown, defence, and forwards. He is also a World Rugby tutor and a Sport Ireland coach developer.

Johnathan holds a BSc in Strength & Conditioning and is currently studying for a Master of Science in Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology. He serves as the contact coach for the Leinster Rugby Shane Horgan, Sarah Robinson, and U17 players in the metro area.
