Class of 2023
Rising Seniors

On this page, you will find all of the information you need to navigate the Course Registration process. First, please read the Course Catalogue to understand the course offerings and departmental progressions. Second, please feel free to peruse the “Senior Course Selection Choices” presentation. There, you will find an explanation of the choices available and an example of a typical senior course load. Now entering your final year at Prep, your options have expanded – choose wisely!

Rising Seniors are expected and encouraged to discuss their course selection choices with their College Counselor. It is important for students to ensure the slate of courses they choose puts them on the best possible footing for their college application process and for the types of schools and programs to which they will apply as seniors.

Lastly, you must complete and submit the Senior Course Registration Form. This is a Google Form that should provide all possible options for your schedule; if there is a course missing or you have a question, please contact Dr. Maginnis. This year, we have eliminated the additional Honors/AP Application essay for most courses. Your aptitude for any and all classes will be considered by the teachers within each respective department.

A typical Georgetown Prep senior schedule may include the following, with a minimum of six classes:

1. Theology III
2. Math (by departmental placement)
3. English IV/AP Literature & Composition
4. A Social Studies course
5. Elective
6. Elective
7. Elective/Free Period
