Visual History of Jesuit Schools

Seals of Jesuit Schools

The center of the William L. George, S.J., Center serves not only as a divider between the building's academic and student life sections, but also serves as a visual history of Jesuit education in the United States.

Beginning at the southwest end of the hallway is today's version of the Georgetown Prep seal (far left), marking the founding of the first Jesuit school in the United States in 1789. Fifty-two Jesuit high schools are represented in chronological order of their founding.
