Through exploration of other countries, cultures, and communities, we encourage students to develop a deep understanding of humanity as a whole—because understanding breeds compassion, and compassion will make us strong, wise, and kind leaders.
Traveling the world takes courage–the ability to put aside fear and take the first steps to be brave.
Language Immersion Trips
Germany (Summer 2024)
Spain (July 2024)
Our students toured the Neuschwanstein Castle, a 19th-century historicist palace on a rugged hill in the Alps in the very south of Germany.
Our students are in the courtyard of the Seville Cathedral in Seville, Spain.
The Senior AP German students traveled to Germany. Highlights were visiting Kolleg St. Blasien, a Jesuit boarding school in the Black Forest, exploring beautiful München and the exciting capital, Berlin. The students met with locals, talking to many young people almost 100% in German.

Global Scholars
Global Scholars is a group of students who focus on global travel, discourse and academia. Students participate in seminars on a variety of interdisciplinary topics that culminate in a trip: a capstone experience and further cementing participants as academically, globally, and spiritually competent men. Global Scholars selects students for their compassion, academic excellence, and commitment to global citizenship.
France (March 2024)
During Spring Break 2024, participants embarked on a trip to France. The students visited some of France’s greatest monuments and museums including the Louvre, Les Invalides, and the iconic Notre Dame. They spent significant time exploring local shops, French culinary delights, the gorgeous architecture, the peaceful draw of the Seine River, and the unique arrondissements of the city. For the last weekend of the Global Scholars trip the Hoyas did homestays with students from Lycée François Magendie in Bordeaux, France. The French students visited GP in February and they graciously reciprocated by showing our students their school and city. We were hosted by John Raskauskas ‘79 who is Head of Section - O.I.B./B.F.I. American Section.
Upcoming Trips
Montreal (March 2025)
Louvre Museum, Paris, France
Palace of Versailles, Versailles, France
I spent four days in Bordeaux, France with a host family that welcomed me with open arms into their lives. Cali introduced me to local cuisine, her friends from school, and the overall beauty of the city of Bordeaux. Living with a host family was a perfect way to end a historical trip for it brought upon a degree of humbleness to bear in mind another household and to be open to different social customs. I will never forget my host family or the love they showed me.
