Georgetown Prep Ice Hockey
Georgetown Prep Hockey strives to provide young men with a program that is both highly competitive and fun. The Little Hoyas compete in the Interstate Athletic Conference (IAC) with Bullis, Landon, St. Albans, and St. Stephens. In addition, the team is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Prep Hockey League (MAPHL) with Gonzaga, DeMatha, St. Johns, Bishop O’Connell, Calvert Hall, Mt. St. Josephs, Archbishop Spalding, Bullis, Landon, and St. Albans. Prep has won the IAC 8 times and was made it to the semi-finals in the MAPHL for the 2023-2024 season.
The Little Hoyas Varsity roster consists of players who have played several years of club hockey. Our top players often have collegiate aspirations, and recent graduates have gone on to play NCAA hockey at Bowdoin College and Salve Regina University and club hockey at Duke University, Penn State University, the College of William and Mary, Quinnipiac University, Harvard University, the University of Tennessee, Southern Methodist University, the University of Rhode Island, University of Notre Dame, and Villanova University, among others.
Our JV team has players with club experience and young men who are playing hockey for the first time. Player development and fun are emphasized at the JV level, and the team typically plays a 12-game schedule against local private schools.
