The way you live your life off the field will have a direct affect on your performance on the field. Good things happen to good people who work hard.

Coach Dan Paro

Team Priorities

Faith

  • The most important thing we do as a team is attend mass together.
  • Treat others the way that you want to be treated.
  • The bible emphasizes that a person can make something of himself through beliefs, faith in God, faith in others, faith in one’s self and faith in life. When you affirm big, believe big and pray big, big things happen to you.

Family

  • Our families are the heart and soul of who we are. We must maintain strong relationships with siblings and with parents.
  • By staying connected to what is happening at home, we will lay a stronger foundation for our team.
  • We want to strive to be a good son and brother.

Academics

  • Compete academically giving your best effort and attitude to each class, every day.
  • Achieving in the classroom will provide lifelong opportunities.

Football Priorities

Team comes before the individual

  • Success demands singleness of purpose.
  • Each player must be willing to sacrifice personal ambition for the good of the team.
  • It is amazing what can be achieved if no one cares who gets the credit.

Code

  • Every drill and every practice is an opportunity to get better.
  • Focus on getting better every day, not on winning.
  • Be sure to understand your strengths and weaknesses both physically and mentally. We are not going to be the biggest, fastest, or strongest.
  • Know your assignments and be sure to execute as one.
  • Every play counts. If you fight hard every down, the play you win may be the difference between your team winning or losing.
  • Compete with pride and with passion for your school and the game of football.

Character

  • Be honest to yourself and to each teammate.
  • Loyalty. We need 100% commitment 100% of the time on and off the field.
  • Respect yourself, your teammates, your opponents, and the great game of football.
  • Unselfishness. Be a giver not a taker.
