Georgetown Prep Basketball

The Prep Basketball Program seeks to run a college style program in concert with the school’s academic reputation. The program’s standards match the school’s high expectations, holistic development, and college outreach that has helped prepare 25 players to go on to continuing playing in college since 2016. Colleges, past and present, include Georgetown, Purdue, Marshall, Richmond, Providence, Columbia, Stanford, Loyola, James Madison, Old Dominion, Princeton, Maryland, The Naval Academy, West Point, Washington & Lee,  and Catholic University among others.

The Little Hoyas are coming off of a IAC Championship season in 2026, recording the first ever undefeated regular season title and conference tournament championship in the same season. The 2025-2026 Little Hoyas were invited to the Maryland Private School State Tournament as the over number 1 seed in the tournament. The first championship since 2017 came after back-to-back 2nd place regular season finishes and appearances in the conference championship game in the 23-24 and 24-25 seasons. The 23-24 team finished ranked amongst the top 10 teams in the area in several publications, including the Washington Post, Prep Hoops, and DC News Now. Class of 2026, Sinan Huan '26 (Purdue University) was the IAC Conference Player of the Year. Evan Edwards ‘27, Jarrard Desire ‘27, and Cole Pierre-Louis ‘28 were all named to the all conference team for their efforts leading the team to a number 4 ranking in the state of Maryland according to Max Preps. 

With key players returning from last year's roster the 2026-27 team will be well prepared for a very strong schedule. Each year our schedule is filled with the best programs from the DMV and opportunities to test ourselves vs national level competition throughout the season. Over the last four seasons the schedule has included teams from Florida, Texas, Washington State, Arizona, New Orleans, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Tennessee, Utah, Philadelphia, and California.
