Where did you attend college and what did you study?
I attended college at the University of Dayton for my freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Salisbury University, where I completed my junior and senior years. While at Salisbury, I played soccer and majored in Economics. Today, I am the Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Ballpoint Capital, LLC, a start-up fintech company based in Bethesda, Maryland. At Ballpoint Capital, we specialize in complex financial advisory services, working closely with clients to deeply understand their unique business needs and providing tailored financial solutions.
Share a favorite Prep tradition or memory
Reflecting on my time at Georgetown Prep, I cherish the memories and traditions that defined my experience. The Kairos retreat, held during junior year, stands out as a profound tradition that united our class and fostered unparalleled bonds. Among my fondest memories is the exhilarating victory over our rival, Landon, on their home turf during a soccer match. Georgetown Prep means everything to me; it played a significant role in shaping the person I am today. My passion for giving back to the Prep community is evident as I prepare to coach freshman soccer for my fourth year.
How do you live out "men of faith, men for others" today?
The values instilled in me by Prep, particularly the motto "men of faith, men for others," continue to guide my life. Losing my father, Michael Daniels, to esophageal cancer in June 2022, has strengthened my faith, offering me solace in the belief that he watches over me, my family, and his friends as a guardian angel. Our time on earth is fleeting, but I find comfort in knowing he is in heaven, awaiting our reunion. I strive to live as a man for others by treating people with the respect and kindness I also give back to the Prep community through my role as a soccer coach.
Currently, I want to honor the life that my father lived by fighting in the Haymakers for Hope event on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Anthem Theatre – their mission is knocking out cancer by raising money for research and various other cancer organizations.
If my training efforts and performance in the ring help contribute to the bigger picture in the world’s fight against cancer, then I feel as if I’m already winning.
