Where did you attend college and what did you study?
I attended Davidson College, where I majored in Economics and Spanish. While there, I also played Division I baseball, which at times felt like a third major! Balancing academics, athletics, and multiple jobs taught me discipline, resilience, and time management—skills that have been invaluable in my career.

What do you do for work now?
I live and breathe startups. I’m the founder and CEO of Lucid Bots, where we build robots that take on dangerous and demanding jobs—helping people work safer, faster, and smarter. I also co-founded Persto, a software company that empowers business mentoring communities to better measure their data and scale their impact. Beyond that, I serve as the Innovator in Residence at Davidson College, mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs. Across all of my work, I’m focused on building technology that extends human reach and creates meaningful impact.

Share a favorite Prep tradition or memory.
One of my favorite traditions was the annual Holiday Music Concert. Singing with Prep Singers for four years pushed me in ways I never expected. I was comfortable pitching in a big game or presenting in class, but stepping on stage for a solo brought a whole new kind of nerves. That experience taught me confidence under pressure, a skill that serves me well today as I regularly speak at conferences, pitch investors, and try to inspire our company at team meetings.

What did your time at Prep mean to you?
Prep played a huge role in shaping my character and values. Through service experiences, I connected deeply with the idea that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. That mindset has stuck with me. Today, my leadership philosophy is centered on creating value for others—whether it’s for employees, customers, or my broader community. Prep gave me the foundation to think beyond myself and focus on building something bigger than me.

How do you live out "Men of Faith, Men for Others" today?
At Lucid Bots, our number one value is leading with compassion, a principle heavily influenced by my time at Prep. Our company’s vision is to extend human reach—not by replacing people, but by giving them tools to do their jobs more safely and effectively. Every day, I strive to build technology that serves others, mentor entrepreneurs who are taking their first steps, and create opportunities that make a lasting impact.
