A Jesuit Day and Boarding School For Young Men Outside Washington, D.C.

Welcome from Brett Graham '92

Brett Graham

Thank you for considering Georgetown Preparatory School, the oldest Jesuit school in the United States.

We are honored by your interest and look forward to getting to know you through the Admissions process. As you explore Georgetown Prep, I challenge you to imagine yourself as a Hoya, part of the next group of talented young men responsible for the care of our centuries-old traditions. Each new class has the potential to leave a mark, to make history, and to answer the question “What is a Hoya?”

Our mission provides the framework for answering that question. We seek to form men of competence, conscience, commitment, and compassion; men of faith, men for others. Ultimately, a Hoya strives to fulfill this mission in the way he carries himself daily.

At Georgetown Prep, we also strive to form men who are resilient in the face of hardship or setbacks. We are all having to learn to be resilient in the year 2020. We are adapting our traditional admissions events like Open House and Hoya for a Day to small group information sessions and tours on campus and virtual information sessions. Once it is safe to do so, we will welcome you to come experience the only Jesuit boarding school in the country and learn in a global classroom that will challenge and enliven your education. Enjoy the benefits of a small school where our students receive the personal attention necessary to thrive while having more opportunities to participate in sports and activities. And be inspired by our historic mission that has changed the world for the better.

Will you make history as a Hoya at Georgetown Prep?

Hoya Saxa,
