Testing

Considering the continued impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, standardized testing for the 2020-2021 application season poses various challenges for families. Georgetown Prep will not require the SSAT for a complete application this year.  If you do not submit test scores, we will instead require an additional recommendation from someone of your choosing. This can be emailed to our office directly by the recommender (admissions@gprep.org). We will continue to accept the SSAT, ISEE, HSPT, PSAT, SAT, and ACT for students who wish to submit scores to be included in their file. You may register for the SSAT and get more information at www.ssat.org

Please send test scores to Georgetown Preparatory School through the SSAT system (school code 3376).

The Admissions Office will upload scores that have been sent once per month beginning in November.

Students applying for the 2021-2022 academic year have the following options for taking the SSAT:

  • SSAT at home: proctored online test
  • SSAT at Prometric Testing Centers: computer-based test
  • SSAT flex test: paper-based test at a flex center (Georgetown Prep does not offer flex tests at this time)
The average scores for admitted students are typically in the 60th percentile and between 2050 and 2080 out of 2400 for the scaled score.
