Standardized Tests
SAT and ACT scores are just one of the many factors a college or university may consider in the admissions process, and there are several types of standardized tests a student will sit for over the course of his high school career. While a majority of schools have made the requirement to submit SAT or ACT scores optional (or in some cases eliminated the requirement altogether), there are other reasons (merit scholarships, athletic recruitment) a student may still need scores. The most common such tests are described on the following pages.
