Steve Bujno '78 Named Fr. Beatty Alumnus of the Year

Stephen "Steve" Bujno '78 was named the Rev. Vincent F. Beatty, S.J., Alumnus of the Year on October 26 at Reunion Weekend's Stag Night.

The award is named for former Georgetown Prep President Fr. Beatty, who also served as the School's first Development Director, and is presented annually to an alumnus outstanding in his generosity and service to Prep.

Steve graduated from Georgetown Prep in 1978. He graduated Magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School with a degree in Accounting in 1982. He then received a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

Steve has more than 30 years' experience in financial services. He was Managing Director and Director for Citi for 22 years; for Kidder Peabody as VP of Investment Banking for 6 years and was Senior Accountant for Arthur Andersen for 3 years. Steve then transitioned to the non-profit world as a Risk Consultant for the Archdiocese of New York. His primary areas of interest are education, at-risk youth, individuals with health issues or special needs, the elderly, and the Catholic Church.

Steve has been very generous to Prep and he is a Class Agent. Steve played football, basketball and tennis when he was a student at Prep.

Steve lives in Manhattan with his wife, Maureen. Congratulations, Steve!
