President's Mass and Reception

Georgetown Preparatory School officially opened the 2021-22 academic year by offering its annual President's Mass on Sunday, 29 August 2021, celebrated by our president, Father James Van Dyke, S.J. and concelebrated by Father David Sauter, S.J.

In his homily, Father Van Dyke spoke about God's call for us to be compassionate, and "to remember what our education and our work here is really about as teachers and staff, as students and parents. That our God is actually asking us to learn the most important thing of all-to learn through the exercise of generosity and patience and kindness to be more like Him, to become more truly His sons and daughters."

A special thanks to Campus Ministry and GIGS for planning and supporting a memorable Mass, and to our kitchen and catering staff and to the Parents' Club for organizing and hosting a lovely reception that followed.
