Four Prep Student-Athletes Earn Fall All-Met Honors


Congratulations to the members of Georgetown Prep's football and soccer teams who earned All-Met honors from The Washington Post for their outstanding play this fall.

Georgetown Prep's varsity football team won the 2018 Interstate Athletic Conference (I.A.C.) title on November 9 with a 21-5 victory over host Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. In I.A.C. conference play, the Hoyas' defense only allowed 32 points from opponents in five games and the Prep offense scored 156 points. Prep finished the season with an 8-1 record and 5-0 in the I.A.C. Prep is ranked #7 in the latest Washington Post's high school football poll.

Prep's varsity soccer team won the Interstate Athletic Conference (I.A.C.) won the 2018 Interstate Athletic Conference (I.A.C.) regular season. The Hoyas finished their I.A.C. regular season with a 9-0-1 record. Prep's defense only allowed two goals in conference play. The Hoyas outscored their I.A.C. opponents by a score of 22-2. In the I.A.C. championship, Prep was upset by St. Albans, 2-0. The Hoyas finished their 2018 season with a 14-2-2 record.
