Georgetown Prep is pleased to welcome Francis “Fran” Gormley, Prep Class of 2006, as the Director of Alumni Engagement in the Development office. Fran has worked for over 10 years in sales, hospitality, and coaching. With his engaging personality, team player attitude, and excellent relationship building skills, Prep looks forward to his leadership and involvement with our alumni as we continue to grow our engagement and programs.

Upon his return to Prep, Fran said, "I am filled with gratitude returning to Georgetown Prep as Director of Alumni Engagement. My earliest introduction to Prep was 27 years ago visiting my mother, Terry, at work on campus. I then witnessed my brothers Sean ’99, Alexander ’00, and James ’03 love their time here. I knew that I always wanted to be a part of this special place. While a student at Prep, I was afforded the great opportunity of a Jesuit education by devoted teachers and mentors like Dr. Ochs, Fr. Elliott, and Fr. Galvin. In my new role, I look forward to helping our alumni connect with and support each other to advance the Prep Brotherhood."

Fran’s mother, Terry Gormley, Director of Parent Relations and Giving, has been at Prep for 27 years, serving with six Prep presidents. She is the proud mother of five sons: Stephen, Sean ’99, Alexander ’00, James ’03 and Francis, Jr. ’06. Terry and her husband, Francis, who attended Gonzaga and Boston College are native Washingtonians and will be celebrating 50 years of marriage this August. What Terry loves best about her job is getting to know all of the parents and helping them and their sons make Prep their second home. She is a proud TERP and in her free time can be found at Maryland and Prep lacrosse games and in the company of her seven grandchildren.
