It is with deep gratitude and admiration that we celebrate Trieu “Cho” Hoang after 35 years of dedicated service to Georgetown Preparatory School.

For more than three decades, Cho has been a valued member of our community. His hard work, commitment, and reliability have played an essential role in supporting the daily life and mission of Georgetown Prep. Over the years, countless students, faculty, and staff have benefited from his dedication and the pride he has taken in his work.

Reaching 35 years of service is a remarkable milestone, and we are deeply thankful for the many contributions Cho has made to our school. His presence and steady commitment will certainly be missed by many across campus.

Headmaster John Glennon said, “We are blessed that Prep’s campus is full of intelligent people—none more so than Cho. He speaks at least two languages every day and understands more about how the systems on campus work than anyone I know. I’m going to miss standing over broken water mains with him and watching him fix just about anything at Prep. Gratitude and appreciation follow him into retirement. Rapp would be proud of all you have accomplished.”

Building Engineer and Facilities Director Mickey Kudo said, “Cho is a main character in the storybook of Georgetown Prep. From day one, he worked hard and showed sincere respect for the Jesuits who guide this school and the menand women who make the daily work happen.”

We celebrated Cho on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the day he handed in his well-known large key ring. We wish him continued health, happiness, and fulfillment in this next chapter after a much-appreciated life of service to Prep. #AMDG
