What has sprung up at 10900 Rockville Pike this season is nothing short of spectacular. The Hoyas delivered a dominant spring across every sport — from the diamond to the course — winning four titles, including two JV championships in Baseball and Lacrosse. Congratulations, Hoyas!

Baseball — 7th Consecutive IAC Championship
The Baseball team continued its reign atop the IAC, winning its seventh consecutive league title. The road to the championship wasn't without adversity, but once the playoffs arrived, the Hoyas found their stride.

After knocking off two early-round opponents, they faced perennial rival Landon in the Championship Series. The Hoyas won Game 1 in dramatic fashion, rallying from behind for an 8–7 victory, before clinching the series last Friday at Landon. Game 2 was an entirely different story: with Ben Sclafani on the mound, a timely home run from senior Jon Senker, and multi-hit performances from Nick Green, Luke Crawford, and Caleb Kearns, the Hoyas closed out the series with an 8–3 win.

Lacrosse — IAC Champions
In Coach Hilgartner's first season leading the program, the Hoyas climbed to the top of the IAC once again. Finishing the regular season as the second seed, Georgetown Prep faced the challenge of playing third-seeded Landon twice in one week — and both games delivered memorable moments. The semifinal was decided in overtime, when Brett Cotton scored the winning goal to advance the Hoyas. From there, Georgetown Prep made quick work of St. Albans — who had upset top-seeded Bullis — winning 15–5 with strong performances throughout the roster.

Golf — 8th Consecutive IAC Championship
The Golf team secured yet another IAC title, their eighth straight, and did so in dominant fashion. The Hoyas went undefeated in IAC regular-season play, and that momentum carried straight into the tournament. Georgetown Prep swept the individual medals, with Jason Park earning Gold, Daniel Park claiming Silver, and Jose Viega also finishing with a Silver medal. The team still has the Metro Championships ahead and is aiming to add one more title before the year is out.

Tennis — Undefeated IAC Champions
The Tennis team accomplished something never before seen at Georgetown Prep: they finished the season undefeated. Led by a strong blend of veteran players and underclassmen, the Hoyas ran the table through the regular season and capped their remarkable run with a commanding tournament week. They defeated St. Stephen's & St. Agnes 6–1 in the semifinals before winning four of the first five matches against Landon to clinch the championship. Perhaps most impressively, the team dropped only two individual matches during the entire IAC tournament week.

Rugby — Strong Season at 8–3
The Rugby program concluded another solid season with a rivalry matchup against Gonzaga last Friday, though the Hoyas were unable to repeat last year's victory in that contest. After a strong start to the season — going 4–1 through the first five weeks — the team traveled to France and Spain to compete against high-caliber international competition, an experience designed to sharpen the squad heading into the season's stretch run. Georgetown Prep finished 8–3 overall and looks to build on that foundation going into the 2026–27 season.

Track & Field — Season Concludes at IAC Championships
The Track & Field program wrapped up their season at the IAC Championships, hosted by Bullis School. Top individual finishers included Michael Wynn, who took first place in the Long Jump; Ole Zwetsloot, who earned second place in the Discus; and Bryan-Luke Price, who finished third in the Long Jump. The distance squad also had a strong showing, with Luke Stapleton, William Byford, and Gavin Beard all setting season-best marks at the final IAC meet. With a young roster and many athletes returning next year, the program is well-positioned heading into the 2026–27 season.
