Georgetown Preparatory School surprised Terry Gormley P'99, '00, '03, '06, G'28 on January 8, 2026 with a special dedication ceremony, naming the second parlor in Boland Hall in her honor.

Mrs. Gormley has served Georgetown Prep for 30 years in the Development Office, becoming an indispensable part of the School community. During the ceremony, Prep's President, Rev. James R. Van Dyke, S.J., blessed the room as Terry's five sons, three of her nine grandchildren, and many of her closest Prep friends gathered to celebrate her remarkable legacy of service.

As the dedication plaque reads, "This room is dedicated in recognition of her unwavering commitment to her Catholic faith, her family, and this School. She has given selflessly in all she does, never counting the cost or seeking reward and always with a smile."

The surprise dedication was followed by a luncheon in Southwell Library, where colleagues, friends, and family shared heartfelt toasts honoring Terry's extraordinary impact on the Prep community.

Beloved by all who know her—especially her husband, five sons, and grandchildren—Terry Gormley will forever be remembered as a true Woman for Others.

Congratulations, Terry!
