Since 1981, Prep as a founding member, has garnered many top honors and awards. This year’s honor goes to Matias Beariault ’25 who had the distinguished position of President for the 43rd MOAS. Since 1981, the OAS has hosted this prestigious, international conference that seeks to create a forum for aspiring diplomats, leaders and scholars to research the challenges facing the hemisphere by creating resolutions to combat drug trafficking, social and political inequality, and sustainable development. Participants hone their skills in debate and consensus building to achieve a comprehensive agenda to improve the lives of all the citizens of the Hemisphere. The students represented the nations of Brazil and Barbados on three vital committees, the General Assembly, Hemispheric Security and the Juridical and Political Affairs.
