Laying of the Wreaths at Arlington Cemetery

Join the Georgetown Prep Alumni Association (GPAA) at the Laying of the Wreaths ceremony at Arlington Cemetery to honor those veterans who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Alumni are encouraged to bring any and all members of their families.

Schedule

7:30 a.m. (optional): Meet in front of Boland Hall for coffee and donuts. A van will depart shortly thereafter for Arlington. Please email Chris Hampton, Manager of Alumni Relations, if you would like a ride.

8:30 a.m.: Wreaths Across America Opening Ceremony at the Women in Military Service Memorial. Instructions will be given to volunteers. Meet here for a GPAA group photo!

9:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Wreath-laying across cemetery. Children of all ages can participate.

11:00 a.m.: Wreath-laying ceremony at President John F. Kennedy's grave.

11:30 a.m.: Van departs for Georgetown Prep. You may stay or leave at your own leisure.
