Cura personalis—a Latin phrase meaning care for the whole person—is a guiding principle of the Prep experience. We understand that there is more to each student than academics and athletics—so we provide plenty of resources to encourage the exploration of new activities and ways to have fun.
When classes end at 3 pm, the day’s activities are far from finished. The energy level stays high as the campus fills with the sights and sounds of debate, music, drama, creative arts, ping-pong—there are over 20 extracurricular activities and clubs. We even have our own fully-equipped recording studio. And any student who can’t find exactly the activity he’s looking for is welcome to take the initiative and start a new club.
Prep is unique in the United States as the only Jesuit high school that offers boarding. And whether they head for the dorm or go home at the end of the day, Prep students enjoy the warm, close community environment that the residential program fosters.
