Senior Student-Athletes Sign Collegiate Letters of Intent


Congratulations to Georgetown Prep's baseball, basketball, and lacrosse seniors who signed their collegiate letters of intent on November 8.

The 2017 varsity baseball team won the Interstate Athletic Conference regular season with a remarkable undefeated record of 10-0. The Hoyas advanced to the I.A.C. championship series after defeating Episcopal in the semifinals. However, Prep was upset in the championship series by St. Albans. Prep finished the year with an overall record of 17-9.

Second-year coach Ryan Eskow and the 2016-17 varsity basketball team won a share of the 2017 Interstate Athletic Conference (I.A.C.) title. In the I.A.C. conference tournament, Prep defeated Landon in the semifinals, but fell to Bullis (62-60) in the I.A.C. finals. Prep finished the season with an overall record of 20-6

In Coach Scott Urick's first season Prep's varsity lacrosse team finished with a 15-6 overall record. The Hoyas started out 9-1 and were ranked as high as #3 in The Washington Post. Prep defeated Episcopal in the first round of the I.A.C. tournament before falling to Bullis in the semifinals. The Hoyas went on to compete in the first annual High School Lacrosse National Tournament and defeated both the Woodlands School from Texas as well as IMG Academy from Florida before losing in the final game to The Hill Academy from Ontario, Canada. Following their showing in this event the Hoyas were ranked #24 in the country by USA Today.
