Over the summer, one of the many service projects that went on through Prep was Somos Amigos. This trip, which could arguably be the most difficult of Prep’s summer service projects because of its long duration and overall workload, occurred during the month of June and into July. This year, there were 7 student participants and two teachers, the biggest group to do Somos Amigos. All who went had a very tough time in the beginning but eventually grew closer to themselves, each other and the community that they were immersed into. The goal of the trip was to build a multi-purpose court for a small village in the mountains of the Dominican Republic.
