Prep Alumni Association Happy Hour    

Come join us for our Alumni Happy Hour on Thursday, February 12 at Clyde’s in Friendship Heights!

The Georgetown Prep Alumni Association is sponsoring a Happy Hour at Clyde’s in Chevy Chase on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 6-9pm. Stop by on your way home from work, have some drinks and catch up with old friends. We will have a section roped off in the downstairs race bar. Light Hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Cash bar.

Clyde’s is located in the Chevy Chase Center on Wisconsin Avenue, has parking and is close to the Friendship Heights metro.

Ben Williams, '80, has been serving the Prep community for over 20 years. Ben currently teaches in the English department and serves as department chair. In 2006, Ben and fellow English teacher Don Cheeseman founded The Second Line, Georgetown Prep's service trip that participates in the New Orleans rebuilding effort every June.

Prep Wins 2008 Inaugural National Jesuit Christmas Classic

Prep pulled away from Jesuit New Orleans in a thrilling championship game on December 30 to beat the Blue Jays 66 - 62. 

The championship game, which drew a packed crowd in Prep's Hanley Center for Athletic Excellence, concluded thee days of intense competition between eight Jesuit high schools across the nation. Photos and highlights of the tournament are available on the tournament's Web site.

 

Bidwill's Cardinals to play in Super Bowl XLIII

Bill Bidwill, '49, President and CEO, and his son Michael Bidwill, '83, Vice President and General Counsel for the Arizona Cardinals will finally live the dream of participating in a Super Bowl. The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 32-25 on Sunday, January 18 in the NFC Championship game.

The Cardinals will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 1 in Tampa, Florida. Prep wishes the Bidwills and the Cardinals the best of luck as they pursue their first Super Bowl in team history.
