Reunion 2009 is now over but the memeries will last a life time. Alumni from far and near traveled back to Prep to celebrate their reunion. Some of the have not been on Prep's campus since they graduated. it was a wonderful weekend where old friends were able to catch up with each other and talk about their days at Prep and their days since they left Prep.

The festivities kicked off with Stag Night where more then 200 guys came back to enjoy the BBQ chicken, ribs, pork and beef. The guys were given t-shirts as gifts to remember this year's reunion.

The next day Father William George S. J. had lunch with the Golden Hoyas; those alumni who celebrated their 50th and 60th reunion from Prep. Later that evening. Father George said Mass for about 30 alums and their families.

Reunion weekend concluded with the class parties on Saturday night. The classes of 1949, 1959, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1989, 1999, and 2004 all held class parties at various locations. By all accounts, Reunion weekend was a success.

Prep Cross Country in Review:

This year's indoor track season included national caliber results that bode well for a successful outdoor season this spring. The fireworks began at the Yale Invitational in mid-January where juniors Joseph Woiwode and Nick Letourneau combined with seniors Carl Dennis and Ramsey Chapin for a runner-up finish in the Distance Medley Relay. Their time of 10:19 held up as a top 10 U.S. time at season's end. Woiwode's 1:58 800m split was the fastest of the meet, and Chapin's mile split of 4:16 was a top 20 U.S. time. Woiwode also posted a top 15 U.S. time in the 500m. Senior Brandon Tisdale posted a top 100 U.S. time in the 55m dash with a season best of 6.55. Other top performances include a top 100 U.S. 4x800m time of 8:11 run by Dennis, Chapin, Woiwode, and freshmen Andrew Gyenis, as well as a top 25 U.S. time by Stanford-bound Chapin in the 1000m with a 2:30.

Thanks to efforts of second year head coach Greg Dunston, a 37 year coaching veteran in Montgomery County, Georgetown Prep also hosted several successful indoor meets in The Hanley Center. The most notable on-campus meet was the first annual Jesuit Classic in March where Tisdale's 6.57 earned first place in the 55m, Letourneau's leap of 20'8" won the long jump, and freshmen Andrew Gyenis and Joey Chapin went 1-2 in the 3200m with times of 10:13 and 10:14.
