Georgetown Prep is establishing an Athletic Hall Of Fame

A group interested in Prep Athletics came together in the Fall of 2006 to discuss the establishment of the Georgetown Preparatory School Athletic Hall of Fame. The group included past Alumni Association Presidents, representatives of the athletic department, faculty, and the Office of Advancement. This group appointed a Steering Committee to develop the bylaws of the Hall of Fame and nominate a Selection Committee to administer the Hall of Fame and its activities.

NYC Network Committee Launch

Georgetown Prep's 216 year tradition of academic and athletic excellence includes a unique element that sets us apart from similar institutions; Prep is a family. At the core of that family is our alumni. That said, in order to continue our legacy and keep our family strong, we must stay connected. Over the past couple of years, the Advancement Office, working in concert with Fr. George and the Alumni Association, has spearheaded several successful initiatives - Prep's new web site and online alumni directory, the recently introduced class agent program and the alumni e-newsletter - aimed at fostering an active alumni community.

In Memoriam Section

The passing of a classmate creates a time of reflection for the Prep community.  Many of our alumni have requested a place where they might be able to share their thoughts and memories for their classmates who have passed.  The In Memoriam section of the e-newsletter exists for this reason. If you would like to share a story, please email us.
