Prep Ranks Number 1 Nationally for the AP Calculus AB Test

The College Board released its Advanced Placement Report to the nation on February 6, 2007.  Georgetown Prep was ranked number one by the College Board for Exemplary AP Calculus AB Programs.  Tim Wisecarver and Brian Maloney are credited for helping their AP Calculus students achieve an exam grade of 3 or better toward the ranking.  

Prep Swimmers Win National Catholic Championships

The H2oyas of Georgetown Prep, coached by Kirby Weldon '68, Matt Mongelli, '93, and Rick Robinson, won the National Catholic Championships, held the first weekend of February at Villanova University.  This is the first time in school history that the swim team has won this event.

Past Presidents' Dinner

The Past Presidents' Dinner will be held for Past Presidents, current members of the GP Alumni Association and Class Agents on Wednesday, February 28th at 7:30 p.m. in the South Room. This event was created to honor the work these men do to make Georgetown Prep a better place for our community. Little Hoya Golf Classic

The GPAA is pleased to announce that golfers for the Little Hoya Classic can visit the golf webpage and register online!

Double Hoya Reception

A few years ago, Father George started a tradition at Prep - the "Double Hoya Reception" for graduates of Georgetown Prep who went on to Georgetown University. The reception also allows the current Georgetown students to welcome in next year's GU Hoya class. The 2007 Double Hoya Reception is tentatively set for Wednesday May 2nd at 6 p.m.  Please mark your calendar and save the date.

3rd Annual Alumni Career Day Breakfast

The Alumni Career Day Breakfast allows our students a chance to receive life lessons from our alumni about the different paths our alumni have taken in becoming successful. The event is in its third year, and the previous two breakfasts have proven to be very helpful for our seniors.  This year's Alumni Career Day Breakfast exact date has not been set, but a time frame for the 4th week in May is in the calendar.  If you are interested in participating as a presenter please contact J.R. Purnell.

Alumni Portal Discussion Boards

The Alumni Discussion Boards are live!  The discussion boards are a great way to re-connect and stay connected with your classmates.  It is also a good opportunity for networking and sharing your views with Prep graduates who share similar interests.  If you want to access this great tool, please visit the alumni portal.
