The typical weekday at Prep is structured to provide students with a proper balance between work and recreation. After a brief morning check-in at breakfast by 8:00 a.m., students attend their respective classes until 2:45p.m. Extracurricular activities, such as sports and clubs, generally last from 3:00-6:00p.m. A community dinner is served at 6:30p.m. From 7:30-9:30 p.m., students are required to participate in a supervised study hall, after which they exercise the option to complete further school work or utilize the athletic facilities and lounges until lights out.

Weekends are a very active time for the boarding program. Students are permitted to return home or spend the night at friends’ houses, but there is also an energetic student activities board which plans trips to the many social, educational, and cultural attractions available in the national capital region. Georgetown Prep has also formed close partnerships with several girls schools in the area. A typical weekday and weekend schedule looks like the following:
