Without question, there are a few phrases that students always hear around the campus of Georgetown Prep: Where’s your blazer? Fix your tie and tuck-in your shirt!
On the surface, the dress code establishes uniformity in our community. More importantly, the dress code is a visible representation of Prep’s two hundred and twenty year tradition of excellence. After graduation, students recognize that their success was not based solely on their academic performance; it’s that they learned early in their lives to carry themselves with professionalism.
For these reasons, we require our students to wear a navy blue blazer, khaki pants with a belt, a white, light blue, or light yellow solid shirt with a tasteful tie, and dress shoes.
