Reunion 2009 may be over but the memories will last a lifetime. Alumni from near and far traveled back to Prep to celebrate their reunion, some of whom have not been on campus since they graduated. It was a wonderful weekend where old friends were able to catch up with each other and talk about their days at Prep and their time since they left Prep. The festivities began on Friday afternoon on Prep's new golf course. Under warm and sunny weather, about 20 guys took on the challenge of the Par 3 golf tournament. The celebration continued into the evening with Stag Night, where more than 200 guys came back to enjoy good, fun company over plenty of BBQ chicken and ribs in the Hanley Center. The guys received t-shirts as gifts to commemorate this year's reunion. On Saturday, Rev. William George S. J., Prep's president, had lunch with the Golden Hoyas - alumni who celebrated their 50th and 60th reunion from Prep. Later that evening, Father George said Mass for about 30 alums and their families. Reunion weekend concluded with the various class parties on Saturday night. The classes of 1949, 1959, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1989, 1999, and 2004 all held class parties at various locations, including the homes of some alumni. By all accounts, reunion weekend was a great success. We look forward to seeing you back on campus soon. |
