Statue of St. Ignatius
Iggy.jpg

The Statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola, located in Prep's Yard, was installed in 2002. The depiction of St. Ignatius as a young man, kneeling, serves as a model of the Jesuit way of life, which Prep students aim to follow.

The funds for the bronze statue, which totaled $50,000, were donated by an alumnus, who wished to remain anonymous. The Statue of St. Ignatius was sculpted in Italy and then shipped to the United States.
